Personal Bible quotes
Hey guys, it’s your girl Maureen the queen of all Queens. I have plenty of things planned out but it’s to start writing about then that is the problem. So I have opened a Bible quote section 😊.
I will be doing my top 5 Bible quotes for this week. And what it means to me.
1: psalms 115:6
They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not.
This is God reminding us that even when we have lost all hope, we shouldn’t put our remaining hope on things. On idols who can’t see but have eyes.
2: psalm 115:9
O Israel, trust thou in the LORD: He is their help and their shield.
this was personal to me. When I got pregnant. When I was losing all hope. When I started to question God. When things were not working well for me. The Bible reminded me to trust in him all times. When I started to question my life. When I started to have thoughts I was not supposed to have He would suddenly appear in my thoughts. Trust in the Lord, He is my help An my shield. Sometimes I would be like; Lord I know you are here and I know you can hear me and I trust in you.
3: proverbs 26:2
Sometimes people may curse you. But if you have not done anything wrong, their words will not hurt you. Their words are like birds that never find a place to rest.
Proverbs 26:2 EASY
This is like one of my favorites, because there are a lot of people in this Nigeria where I stay. They will curse you for no reason. But then this message plays in my head. It can’t hurt me. I know who I am, I have done kiting wrong to warrant this insult or curse. It’s the Word for me!
4: Romans 8:18 & 19
Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.
For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are.
Hahaha hahaha! I love this. This is just a remainder that heaven is the ultimate goal.
5 Hebrews 11.1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1 NKJV
One of my favorite since I was small. They were trying to explain faith. How even when there isn’t anything to see it’s there. Even when it seems that God is not working for us or when it seems he is not hearing us. He is there looking at us. Calling us His sons and daughters, keeping us under His wings.
6 Hebrew 11 (all of it)
By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
Hebrews 11:5 NKJV
By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
Hebrews 11:7 NKJV
By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise;
Hebrews 11:9 NKJV
